HIDDUR MITZVAH:  Enhancing the Mitzvah.  Sophie, a young lady celebrating her Bat Mitzvah in Boca Raton, Florida made her own tallit from Dupioni Silk.  She wanted hand made kippot for her guests.  Sophie and her Mom chose a fabulous KEY WEST 100% cotton Batik and sent it to MARILYN.  The kippot were made by hand, labelled with Sophie's name and date of her Bat Mitzvah.  Then Sophie thought it would be really inspiring to have a Challah cover created especially for her.  The batik was used.  Sophie's Hebrew name, Shoshana Golda (translated.... gold rose) was embroidered in gold metallic thread along with one long stem rose.  The challah cover was edged with gold piping.
Sophie and her Mother purchased cotton serviettes (napkins) and tie dyed them to coordinate with the challah cover and kippot.  It was our pleasure and honour to be chosen to create the kippot and challah cover to perform the mitzvah of "HIDDUR MITZVAH".
Below:  "The" Challah cover plus three of the guest kippot.
