ALEPH was created for the WLCJ Biennial Convention in WASHINGTON DC IN December, 2000 . The Watercolour quilt background was created by MARILYN LEVY. The embellished ALEPH was created by HARRIET LIEBMAN OF Toronto.
The photography was done by very creative and capable photographer, LYNDA MORRIS .
Lynda took several pictures of the ALEPH from different angles and on different backgrounds to find which would represent the ALEPH best. We have included several pictures so that you can attempt to appreciate the photography and this interesting work which will soon be framed and displayed at the JEWISH THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY in New York, along with the representations of other Branches of Women's League.

Note that the ALEPH is the same even when flipped over. That makes it a very creative letter with which to work.

RIGHT; A watercolour mural on the rear of a shawl-shaped prayer shawl created in 2001. The darker values at the bottom lead up to the lighter and lighter values on the top representing "going up". The whole project can be viewed by clicking here.
